Rip off switch to Sprint

Ntelos contacted me said they would be moving from our area needed to switch to Sprint and my credit would be given I did as they instructed went into store returned the phone no credit given, paid on the early contract fee so it would not impact my husbands credit have not heard from them in a year get a letter from attorney for them saying I owe the same amount I paid actually you owe the money back to me and where is my credit for the iPhone I sent back

Had to move to the Richmond Va area from Roanoke Va because of my job only to find out that ntelos had completely left the area. No stores, no prescence nothing but bad service.
Have called repeatedly asking them to let me out of my contract since they don't service my area only to be told they didn't force me to move here. Now I can't even call my family mobile to mobile and they still won't let me out. Supposedly they are switching to sprint but they suck worse in this area than ntelos. Verizon won't buy out ntelos contracts anymore and their the only ones that get a good signal where I live.
Ntelos is supposed to claim to be a nationwide company.
NOT! Worse Phone company I've ever been with.

My name is Bonnie Mease, I've been a loyal customer with Ntelos for years now since they have transition to Sprint it sucks I've been waiting for a upgrade phone since July and they supposed to contact me from the Danville, Va store and I have not heard anyhing. The employees in that store are rude. You best believe when my contract is up I am taking my business elsewhere.
Transition to Sprint= Problems

my husband and my sons phones have had no issues. I have had nothing but problems with mine. Mostly--- not ringing in when someone calls. They have replaced sim cards, done resets, and even replaced the phone several times.
Went to the Ntelos store in June, when Sprint bought ntelos out. The rep stated that they would change our phones out, and we would be grandfathered into Sprint. Our contract/plan WOULD NOT CHANGE. Well, several months later--- my phone is doing the same thing-- not ringing.
So I was going to go with Verizon wireless. Was in the process of buying a new phone/plan, when I contacted sprint to get my "account number" she informed me that my contract is not out until 2018!!!! Um no. We didn't sign new contracts.
Sprint bought Ntelos out. We were told we didn't have to sign up for new contracts. My husband is going to call, and go by the store, to see what comes of it.
But if they did that---- that's false advertisement. Will be complaining to the better business bureau and attorney generals office.

Never had any issues with ntelos. But since sprint took them over everything sucks.
Prices went way up for less coverage. Nothing that was promised from this merger has happened. I'm paying $50 a month more for a LOT less data. My contract with sprint can not end quick enough.
The shareholders of Ntelos really screwed their customers with this merger. I plan on contacting my state attorney general and filing a complaint. Sprint needs to keep in mind that word of mouth is the best advertising.
It can also be a companies worst nightmare especially now days. I will tell everyone I can tell to stay clear of sprint.
Ntelos/Sprint "Merger"

This has been the most pathetic excuse of a merger I have ever seen in all my existence! I have now been to 4 Sprint stores and called 7 Sprint stores all together to try and figure out how to merge my Ntelos into Sprint.
Ever since Sprint has become a part of Ntelos our service has dropped to ***. No 3G barely anywhere. MMS messages not sending. Always a signal at 1X. This is pathetic! We are paying almost $170 a month for NOTHING!!! So we thought, Okay lets merge over to Sprint so hopefully our coverage will be better than this mess.
With going to 4 stores, we still have yet to merge our contract. Each store either "can't help us" or expect us to run our credit again and then if need be...pay another deposit.
Why should we have to pay another deposit if our credit is not within your requirements? We didn't ask for this! Why cannot each store that has a giant SPRINT sign in gosh awful yellow....why can't they help us?? Your management and planning on this merger sucks. Since we still, after 2 months of trying to merge our contract, which is what the letter you sent us told us to do, have not been able to merge.... I have decided that we will be leaving Ntelos/Sprint. You cannot expect customers to sit by and pay you an obscene amount of money each month for nothing. So goodbye Ntelos and goodbye Sprint...

- - Been with nTelos over 11 years; since the Sprint sale, service has been terrible, and eight of eleven on the contract are switching to Verizon.
We have been with nTelos for over 11 years. They usually did not have the latest mobile phone when every other mobile company did, but what they lacked in delay of product, they made up for with service and price.
Ever since nTelos sold out to Sprint, my service has never been so bad. I mean, it is terrible. I am thankful that they grandfathered us in with our current contract which includes unlimited everything, but what good is everything when the service is so awful! Our contract had 11 total people on it.
Eight of us are switching over to Verizon. Enough said.
Preferred solution: I will be using the services of a different company.

I signed up with Ntelos back in December 2015. From day one the device AND my iPhone 6 SUCK and I regret ever going to them!!!! The ONLY reason I ended up choosing nTelos was because they were the only company offering me a lower deposit. Unfortunately, my credit was ruined by my parents using my name and social for bills and whatever else.. (My family was very poor growing up) so naturally, most popular, good rated cell phone companies wanted a $500-$700 security deposit UPFRONT!! That of which I did not have nor could afford. I am a single mother of 4 children, 3 living with me. So I have to be careful what I chose to spend money on for I too (like my family growing up) am poor... Yes I know... I didn't go much further or do much ore with my life ... Difficult to go to college and get a good education when theres no way to pay for it. So I went with nTelos... Who after negotiating with the sales clerk at my local shopping mall KIOSK... Agreed to a $300 deposit! So with the cost of my iPhone 6, (retail $599) my 64GB data plan, unlimited talk, text and data (which I don't understand if I had to pay for 64 GB???) and $10 monthly insurance on the phone ... I believe that's it... I only paid $350 up front and walked away with a TOTAL MONTHLY BILL OF (phone payment plan, service & insurance) $65 and some change!!!! AWESOME DEAL RIGHT?!?!?

1st complaint:
For the first month, I was "roaming" even though I was in my home town and nTelos was literally 2 minutes down the road.
2nd Complaint:
I NEVER HAD SERVICE!!!!! Always DROPPED MY CALLS!!!!
3rd Complaint:
I wouldn't get SMS or iMessages until hours sometimes DAYS later or not at all!!!
4th Complaint:
Called and when they advised me to have the SIM replaced, I had to drive 25 minutes out of the way!!!! I could t go to the nTelos store that was 2 minutes from my house!!!
5th Complaint:
Changing the SIM card DID NOT WORK!!!!! Still had no service, was roaming half the friggin time, and I found out the 1X in the upper screen meant I was getting the absolute limited wifi connection .... Even when my house is equipped with HIGHSPEED WIFI (regular wifi And 5G)
6th Complaint:
I paid my bill every month and my phone would still get disconnected until I had to call and find out wtf....
7th complaint:
I could go to my nTelos app and it would say 1 balance due, the go to nTelos.com and click on "pay my bill" and it would have a much much MUCH higher amount due... So I would log into my nTelos account online and it would say I have a negative balance! (-$19.55) so when I called to find out once again .. WTF.... The system then proceeds to tell me, I have NO BALANCE DUE!!!!! But then the next day I would get an automated text with a completely different balance due from ALL the other apps/sites!!! So when I call once again..... And this is my 8th and
FINAL COMPLAINT:
THE nTelos AGENT PROCEEDS TO TELL ME THEY HAVE CHARGED MY ACCOUNT TOO MANY TIMES (do to me paying every friggin total due the apps, texts, and website noted I owed) AND THAT I HAVE A $345 CREDIT THAT WILL JUST BE APPLIED TO MY FUTURE BILLS!!! So I proceed to explain and ask...
" Ma'am my phone bill is only $65 or so a month... Does this mean I will not have a bill for a few months and I will not be notified of a payment due for said few months?? And my phone will NOT be disconnected for those few months right?!"....

- - MMS fails on Galaxy S5 when switching WiFi/4G; reboot fixes but not resolved; not all texts arrive; may switch carriers or wait out contract.
Seemed like I've had nothing but problems with Ntelos. Some of the more recent problems are, not able to send or receive MMS on my Galaxy s5.
It seems like this is triggered when I switch from WiFi to 4g and back. The solution they gave me was to turn off 4g in my settings, restart phone and turn my 4g back on. Yes is does work but it shouldn't happen in the first place. It took several calls to CS and still no permanent solution.
Another problem I'm having is, i am not receiving all of my text messages.
I'm not sure if this is because of Ntelos becoming sprint but it is definitely becoming a nuisance and at my first chance, i will find a way out, whether its buying out my contract, or just waiting until it's up.

I noticed a decline in my coverage recently since sprint bought Ntelos. LTE is rarely available now.
My fiancé has sprint she constantly has 4/5 bars while I sit with 1-3 and often in 3G.
I was told that sprint is turning off and selling Ntelos' towers. I am very displeased with this tactic if it is true.

I am sick of this my phone has been turned off three times for nonpayment each time money was in account and your employee messed up and i lost service because of there mistake i like your service but am thinking about changing once or twice maybe but three times seems like it will keep happening want to upgrade and get new phone and plan but now unsure

Yes I agree sprint took over now bills me over each month I am done with sprint in Dec but there going to over charge me every month now I let the dam thing go credit is a joke anyway pay good on all accounts for years and it still low score it just another way for them to rip off consumers.
The lack of transparency with this merger is infuriating. Both of my daughter's damaged their phones in the same week and the insurance through asurion is telling me that our phone is on back order and they really don't know if they will be getting anymore in for Ntelos.
The sprint store in the area said that they couldn't help us that we needed to go to another ntelos store 40 minutes away from where we live. If I had known this I would have never renewed my contract.
Sprint is doing nothing to keep the customers they just acquired. Unbelieveable!
