nTelos lured me in stating they could offer me same service I was receiving through another company...at almost half what I was paying! What a lie! I'm paying more, it's 8 months into the contract, which is unlimited everything for, so you'd think the monthly statements would be the same. I've owed different amounts several times, several months! The insurance is 10.99 per line, I have two lines, one phone has been repaired 3 times due to a glitch or something from time of purchase! We had it repaired through an outside source each time so I'm dropping their insurance since they required 150. To fix it...also, I'm now being penalized for opting to keep my paper statements...I would never encourage anyone to use this company. It seems as though they are changing the contract so I will as well. At the end on my first year, I'm leaving them...I don't care about early termination...like a bad relationship, will be worth it to be rid of them!! ~Cathy~ Salem, Va !!

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!

I have had nothing but issues! I went into the store to pay a bill 2 days later I checked my account low and behold, the guy used my card and charged $700.00 on my debit card! I called them to let them and to take it off and they told me that I went to a unauthorized ntellos and there was nothing that they could do. they didn't try to figure out who did it or nothing I was just left with nothing so if you do not want to be robbed then donot go with this company

Leaving us - PHONES ARE NOT UNLOCKED

After 11 hours, 22 people and a loss of many hours of billable time, I cannot transfer my phones to another carrier. nTelos SAYS they are unlocked, but the settings say otherwise. I have had to spend over $1,000 to purchase the same phones we already had that were in PERFECT shape... and nTelos won't do anything for me.... WOW!!!After nearly 30 years with this company, they throw you to the wolves. I am being kind... THEY cancel a contract and we're let to our own devices. I really hope a class action lawsuit gets launched against them. TOO BIG TO FAIL needs to stop in this country!!!

I purchased 2 phones prior to finding out ntellos won't be operating. I'm in the same boat...searching for new phones and another carrier. I can't afford new phones.

yes I would love to leave a review if certain workers at the White Hall West Virginia store would get people out the door as quickly as they shove people off the phone live would have a great store but unfortunatelyI asked for one thing and get another i mean i want u buy accessories for my phone not accessories for another phone it really don't help me out at all if you're going to sell me the wrong accessories but I will bring it back to the store hopefully they take it back since they were kind enough to sell me the wrong product

NTelos is dropping us, but WE'RE paying for early termination?

We have been with nTelos for years and have had an overall decent experience. A couple of years ago the retail store where we bought our phones was no longer able to do contract changes, receive payments!, or much of anything.

Sort of like doing business at a mall kiosk, but it wasn't a kiosk. Now they're leaving Tidewater but holding us hostage to our contracts unless we move to Sprint. Who wants Sprint? I can't believe they even call it early termination.

They're terminating! Not us!

One of the worst retail experiences ever. I'm considering contacting the Attorney General as someone else mentioned.

Had the same experience and sent me to collections. How can they charge a termination fee when they are the ones leaving the East Coast.

I was a customer of theirs for 18 years. I am so pissed off about this. Was able to negotiate down to $50.00 with the collection agency, but I shouldn't have had to pay anything.

I switched to Verizon so apparently because I didn't switch to Sprint I am being charged $99.00. It is really ridiculous.

I spoke to nTelos yesterday and was told by the rep that I am released from my contract without penalty, to any provider I choose now, no longer having to wait until October. If I get a bill for any early termination fees then I will most definitely be contacting a lawyer. What they're doing is questionable at best, and they need to be held accountable.

I can't move the phone I've been told was unlocked and my 'NEW' phones won't carry the network connections with my old phone number of 30 years!!!! We all need to contact Millberg LLP in New York, a class action law firm, to get this rolling and FCC complaints should help our cause!

I agree. We just were FORCED to move to Sprint because the service with Ntelos was soooo bad due to them closing soon.

The letter we got said service would be slowing and that we could have their *** service unitl 11.30.15 or go to Sprint and face no termination penalty. We went to Sprint. Bad move. Sprint is so slow.

Almost as slow as Ntelos. I have 3 more days on my 14 trial with Sprint that I cancel.

Thinking about what to do. I just want to go to AT&T & what NTelos is doing is illegal.

I have had more problems with ntelos i purchase a phone for my niece back in 2013 it was taken back and forth to the store about 25 times and still never gotten fix she was given another one the same problem then it was about November 2013 it time for for me to upgrade my phone i had the nastiest person to tell me i would never upgrade my phone or have any service with them any more that i better find me another carrier prior to that I was red flagged by sprint so spoken to sprint and asked what red flagged meant they told me i was using their towers more then ntelos so ntelos they will waiver all my early termination fees in which was my niece phone had about a few months so after that ntelos had problems in Nov 2013 for about a month no service in my area so i went with verizon after I was told i was no longer will be a customer of theirs well i went to check over my credit report there was ntelos stating i owe them x amount of money so No my early terminations was not waive after i was told they will waive them and after it was told for me to find another carrier after being a customer for seven years i need this to be settle

I do not feel after being a good customer be responsible to pay termination fees when in which it is ntelos leaving the area. I would never refer anyone to you nor would I urchase from ntelos again due to this poor handled situation.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We went all the way from Inez, Ky to Ashland Ky.

Two hour drive thought everything went smoothly only to find out half way home we automatically stopped getting service and didn't pick it back up!! Got home and our phone numbers wasn't even showing on anything HE DIDNT ACTIVATE OUR SIMS CARD OR PHONE!! We called Ntelos we had to DRIVE 30 MINS! To get good enough service call them and have them activate them.

After making it clear to them how much data we wanted we just realized after getting on our account we're getting charged for 10GB 20$$. When we asked for 5GB!!

My friend has the same plan we were asking for same phones and everything and they pay 115$ a month but because they didn't listen and do their job we have to pay 150$ till we get it straightened out (if they will listen)! We had to put an extra 20$ in gas and now we're paying an extra 20$ because, they didn't do their job.

Ntelos Breaks Contract & Expects Customer's to Pay

Signed up for Ntelos in 2014 because they were running a good ad campaign. Found out in Dec 2014 that Ntelos is leaving the Hampton Roads area. Phones they sold were for Ntelos only. Now we will be stuck with a useless phone. Customers have to pay an outrageous termination fee if they want to leave Ntelos now and not wait until Ntelos is ready to term the contract in a couple of months. Meanwhile, we are stuck with horrible service while Ntelos pulls out of the area. Customer service is simply trained to say "no" to any accommodations. Don't sign up with this company!

Sounds like they are not holding up their end of the agreement. Does anyone know of a lawsuit?

I'm in the same situation. They're telling us that our internet speeds are going to slow but we can't get out of the contract til November!

I have not been able to use my phones for over 2 weeks now. The calls get dropped or they keep cutting out. Ntelos says its their tower having problems...THEN FIX IT!!!! I have contacted them several times with still no resolution and no confirmation to get any credit applied to my bill. I will tell everyone not to sign up with them!

I have filed a complaint with the FCC and Attorney General's office. Maybe everyone else should do the same and possibly get some results.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and to Ntelo's credit they responded immediately with a resolution I agreed to. Turn in my phones with no water or physical damage and they'll waive my ETFs.

Went to one of the few remaining stores today and they have concluded that only one of the ETFs will be waived due to the fact that a "moisture indicator" on the BATTERY was partially pink. The associate agreed that this could be caused just by humidity and does not mean water damage but the person in charge of settling my account doesn't seem to care. According to him they can no longer resell the phone. When they're refurbished and resold I'm certain they use new batteries, not ones well over a year old.

They refuse to check for actual water damage.

Needless to say, another complaint has been filed. They need to stand by their original agreement.

If anyone else gets this resolution offered to you make sure to check your batteries and buy a new one!

So Ntelos is leaving the Eastern Virginia market which is fine with me since apparently I am no longer in their coverage area and cannot keep a signal to save my life. What baffles me is that they have admitted that I am not in their service area and that they are leaving but unless I switch to Sprint (their partner) I have to pay $350 per line to get out of my contract. I can't talk on my phone at home, send or receive texts without several attempts while moving around my house, and they're dropping my contract before it's ended but I have to pay THEM? How is this even legal? I've spoken to several reps and their customer service is absolutely deplorable. They're clearly doing us a favor by leaving.
